Liverpool Talking Therapies offers NHS help with low mood and anxiety. People aged 16 or over with a Liverpool GP can refer themselves online or by phone.

Your GP can also refer you. You may work with a therapist, join a course or use self-help guides with support.

Sahir offers counselling for LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse adults across Liverpool City Region and Wirral. It also helps people who live with HIV and those close to them. You can ask for help through its website.

What it costs

Liverpool Talking Therapies is free. Sahir counselling is also free for people who meet its access rules.

Private therapists set their own fees. Ask what each session costs. Check what you would pay if you miss a session.
