ViaCara helps you find the right person to talk to. You tell us what is going on in a short, private conversation. We suggest a few people who fit, and you choose who to contact.
A letter from Kyle
Hey, Kyle here. I started ViaCara.
My partner is an independent therapist. Her diary stayed full while others around her waited for clients. The difference was her profile: she wrote about her clients, not about herself.
I'd felt the other side of that. I sifted through profile after profile for a therapist who went beyond basic CBT. I wanted someone who'd go deeper with my own issue.
In the end I built a small tool to read those profiles for me and pick out the signals. That was the first, rough version of ViaCara.
So ViaCara listens first. You talk to us, and then you see a short list of people who fit what you said.
I'm an engineer, not a therapist, and I've built software since 1999. ViaCara introduces you, and the person you choose does the work with you.
Got a question, or did we get something wrong? Email me at hello@viacara.com. I read every message and I answer them myself.

How ViaCara makes money
Using ViaCara costs you nothing. Your professional sets their own fee, and you agree it with them.
Professionals pay us, through pay as you go or a monthly plan. We take no share of what you pay for your sessions.
No one can pay us for a higher place in your list. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
How registration checks work
A professional tells us their professional body and membership number. We look that number up on the body's public register before their profile goes live. When the register cannot settle it, we write to the body.
Why the name ViaCara
"Via" means the way through. "Cara" started as care, and it kept giving.
In Italian it means dear. In Spanish and Portuguese it means face. In Irish it means friend.
Through care, face to face, through a friend. Each one says what we are here for.
