People tell us about their mental health. This page says how we look after what they share. It also lists what we will never do.
Where your data lives
Your profile, your account and the people we suggest to you are stored in Frankfurt, Germany. The servers that run ViaCara are there too.
Some services use global networks to deliver our pages. Our privacy notice lists every kind of provider we use and where each keeps data. Providers that process personal data for us have the data protection agreements the law requires.
Private by design
We treat what you tell us about your wellbeing as health data. The law calls it special category data. We ask for your explicit consent before we use it to understand your needs.
Our privacy notice explains the other limited legal grounds, such as safeguarding.
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Our analytics count page visits without cookies. We do not sell your data.
Our company email runs on Proton Mail.
Honest by default
A language model helps us understand what you said. It does not decide who you meet. Rules written by people rank the professionals we suggest.
You can open the explanation on any suggestion to see the main reasons for it. Nobody can pay to appear higher. A professional's plan or payments never change their place in your list.
We suggest only professionals who have joined ViaCara and set up their own profile. Our about page says how we check their registration. Our crisis pages are open to everyone, with no account and no sign-up.
The EU AI Act
We checked our client conversation and referral service against the EU AI Act's banned practices. Our assessment found none of them. We do not read emotion from anyone's face or voice.
Our privacy notice explains our assessment.
Who holds us to account

We carried out a data protection impact assessment for the conversation and for how we rank professionals. We last reviewed it in August 2026. For a copy, or for any question about your data, write to dataprotection@viacara.com.

When this page changes
We review this page when the law changes and when our service changes. We last reviewed it on 22 September 2026.
