# Therapy in Guernsey

What mental health support exists in Guernsey, Alderney and Sark, what it costs and how ViaCara helps you find the right person there.

This page also covers Alderney and Sark.

## What is *here*

Health and Social Care runs Healthy Minds, a free short term therapy service. Guernsey Mind offers peer support and drop ins for adults.

Alderney has a visiting mental health nurse and the Mignot Memorial Hospital. Sark has no dedicated service, so residents use Guernsey's.

## What it *costs*

GP appointments in Guernsey are private, and each practice sets its own fee. Healthy Minds is free through self referral or your GP. Guernsey Mind's peer support and drop ins are also free.

## How ViaCara helps in Guernsey

An online session is a video or phone call at a time you choose. You do not need to travel, and you can change practitioner if the fit is wrong.

The [Guernsey Crisis Resources](https://viacara.com/crisis/gg/) page lists people you can talk to at any hour.
