# Therapy in England

Find mental health support in England, including local referral routes, charity services and costs, with clear links to help you start.

## What is *here*

[NHS Talking Therapies](https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/mental-health-services/find-nhs-talking-therapies-for-anxiety-and-depression/) offers support for anxiety and depression. You can refer yourself if you live in England and are aged 18 or over. Some areas also accept younger people.

You do not need a diagnosis to apply. The service finder uses your GP surgery to find local support. Some services accept people without a GP.

[Side by Side](https://sidebyside.mind.org.uk/faqs/) offers online peer support for adults in England and Wales. You can share experiences with other people who understand mental health problems.

Private therapists set their own fees. Ask about the session price and any cancellation charge before booking.
